Social stories are used to help teach autistic individuals about what to expect in specific settings like the supermarket, doctor's office, surgery, school, a playground, the list goes on. A social story can be created for almost any social situation and helps prepare the individual with ASD while also providing guidance on behavior that will be asked and expected. Social stories are used together with other therapies.
